On Thursday, September 3, La Caisse (formerly CDPQ), which had held a 44% stake in the Delachaux Group since November 2018, sold its interest in the Group to the family shareholders brought together under Ande Investissements. Following the transaction, Ande will hold nearly all the share capital of Delachaux International, the Group’s holding company, with the remaining shares held by certain managers.

Over the course of these nearly eight years, the Group and its three main businesses, Pandrol, Conductix-Wampfler and DCX Chrome, have continued to grow and strengthen their leadership positions with customers, infrastructure owners and operators, and major equipment owners and operators.

The Group extended the maturity of its debt in July and has the resources required to continue its growth trajectory.

Stéphane Delachaux commented:

“The repurchase of La Caisse’s stake in the Delachaux Group completes the restructuring of the Group’s family ownership that we initiated more than fifteen years ago. We can now devote all our efforts and resources to strengthening the Group’s human, industrial, commercial, and financial foundations, while continuing our transformation toward new technologies. Founded in 1902, the Delachaux Group will continue to build on the strengths that have driven its success: technical expertise, innovation and application know-how, qualities that are valued by our customers around the world.

I would like to thank all the teams at La Caisse for their contribution to the Group over these years. Throughout our eight years of collaboration, I have appreciated their professionalism and their ability to understand the culture, dynamics, and challenges of a family-owned mid-sized company. I would also like to thank all Group employees for their unwavering commitment to serving our customers across every sector in which our businesses operate.”

Martin Longchamps, Executive Vice-President and Head of Private Equity and Private Credit at La Caisse, added:

“Delachaux is a strong example of what a long-term partnership between La Caisse and a family-owned company can achieve. For nearly eight years, we supported the Group’s development alongside Stéphane Delachaux and his teams. Today, the Delachaux family is strengthening its ownership of a company that is well positioned to continue its growth, and we are proud to have contributed to this evolution.”
