We are thrilled to announce the release of our newest Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) report, highlighting our ongoing efforts and accomplishments in making a positive impact on society and the environment. As a 100-year-old company, we be­lieve that our long-term success depends on our ability to operate responsibly.

Highlights of our CSR Report:

-Environment: We have reduced by 8% in 2023 our carbon footprint in scope 1+2 and have fully integrated scope 3. Between 2019 and 2023, we have reduced by 23% our greenhouse gas emission (tCO2eq) in scope 1+2.

-Ethical Governance: We have trained 1,000 employees who are most exposed to the risk of corruption.

-Employee Well-being: 3,461 employees reaffirmed their commitment to working for our Group through our global WEshare survey, and 47% of survey participants responded they are ‘very satisfied’.

-Safety at site: we have reduced our lost time accident frequency rate by 18% each year since 2017, which is close to the target of -20% set at the time.

-Social Impact: We made the 1^st donation from the Delachaux Solidarity fund in Austria.

On October 19^th, 2023, Delachaux Group has successfully extended by 3 years the maturity of its Term loan B up to April 2029 and upsized it to €770mm. Proceeds will be used to amend & extend the existing € Term Loan B (maturing in Apr-26), repay the existing $ 140mmTerm Loan B.

Nicolas has more than 25 years’ experience working for international companies – many in the industrial sector. He specialises in operational excellence, plant and general management.

His most recent role saw him work for the Parker Meggitt Group where he spent ten years in several senior roles, most laterally as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Power & Sensing – a product group within the organisation with revenues of c$400m. Previous to that, he worked for Johnson Controls amongst other leading firms.

Nicolas has an engineering degree from CESI and an Executive MBA from ESCP Europe.

To celebrate this occasion, the Delachaux family has published a book which retraces the story of four generations of the family leading the Group.

The book presents fascinating information about the Group and the companies, a story that is often inextricably linked to the context of the respective countries and the people who have enabled those companies to exist, both today and in the past.  We all share the great successes of which we can all be truly proud, as well as the uncertainties and challenges that have prevailed over the years to keep business moving forwards.

In order to share this precious legacy with the greatest number of collaborators and partners, the book has been published in French, English and German. It has been sent to key managers and will soon be available at all Delachaux sites.

Stéphane Delachaux, the group’s president, began to meet some of the teams in France to share this story. Other visits in Europe, USA and India are scheduled in 2023.

KLK Electro Materiales, founded in 1965, is a player in the European markets of resistance and earthing by copper wire welding. Its turnover was € 9,7m in 2021 with a staff of 62 persons.

Groupe Delachaux acquired KLK in 2011 and transferred its rail operations to Pandrol. The aluminium-thermal rail welding activity, which moved to Castelgalli in Catalonia and catenary activity in Gijón, both remain under direct management of Pandrol.

KLK is now concentrated on the activities of resistance and land use and, finds in Novarc a new industrial shareholder better able to support their development projects to reach new markets.

Guy Talbourdet, President of Delachaux and Pandrol SAS, says “KLK Electro Materiales has become an important player in its market of resistance and earthing solutions thanks to the dynamism of its teams. Their expertise and innovations are recognized by their clients, and I am convinced that Novarc will allow KLK’s employees to continue to develop their activities in synergy with the Novarc Group.”

Between 2018 and 2020:
-the Group has reduced its CO2 emissions by 40 % thanks to the actions of the Foundry Intercast & Forge on its consumption as well as a responsible supply of renewable electricity (This action has been recognized by the Australian authorities).
-the Group has divided by 2 the lost-time accident frequency rate by encouraging the autonomy and reactivity of all employees at all levels.
-Nearly 40 % of employees have received face to face or digital anti-corruption training as part of the Ethics process.

Signatory of Global Compact since 2017, the Group is committed to contributing to the sustainable development goals of United Nations by fully integrating them into the strategic plans of the companies of the Group Pandrol, Conductix-Wampfler, DCX Chrome, Raoul Lenoir and KLK.
